Active and Healthy – Yoga Hype – Aroma Research – Skin Cancer Risk
Aroma Research: Chemists at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg are researching the scents of our world: What do things smell like now, and what did they smell like in the past? And which molecules are actually responsible for specific things smelling the way they do? Skin Cancer Risk: Unlike non-melanoma skin cancer—which is usually easy to treat—melanoma (malignant skin cancer) remains a dangerous disease because the tumor cells can spread throughout the body. Although sun exposure is a major risk factor, melanomas can also develop in areas that receive no sunlight at all.
People with very fair skin and those with many moles are at particular risk. Early detection is crucial, so it is important to have moles and any skin changes examined regularly by a dermatologist. But what can and should you look for yourself? What does optimal preventive care look like for high-risk patients? And what modern therapeutic approaches exist for melanoma? Vendace in Grilled Zucchini Blossom: Since the flesh of the vendace is not particularly firm, it is first placed in a salt bath.
This firms up the delicate fish meat. The fish is then cut into small pieces and seasoned with Oriental spices. Stuffed into zucchini blossoms, it is placed on the grill alongside tomatoes. Yoga Hype: Vinyasa yoga, Hatha yoga, aerial yoga, FeetUp yoga—there is a wide variety of yoga styles, each with different effects. However, all yoga techniques share one thing in common: they relax and mobilize both body and soul.
