Boundless Delights with Björn Freitag and Tamina Kallert - Brussels - Waffles, Beer, and a Bath in a Barrel
Brussels - the vibrant, colorful, and surprising European metropolis! Tamina Kallert and Björn Freitag begin their tour with a view: High atop Mont des Arts, they enjoy the panorama of the Belgian capital before heading to the famous fries. Even Angela Merkel has indulged at the iconic "Maison Antoine" stand. A true taste of Brussels' soul.
Brussels is also the comic book capital. Huge drawings adorn entire building facades. With the help of a real comic book artist, Tamina and Björn become comic book characters themselves - an unforgettable experience. They browse and haggle at the flea market in the Marolles district. Afterwards, it's time for a classic: In a traditional brasserie, chef Glen introduces them to the classic "Queen's Pasties," Vol-au-Vent - hearty, aromatic, and quintessentially Belgian.
As the saying goes, "After the effort, the comfort!" First work, then pleasure. After a hard day's work, Tamina and Björn can finally relax. At the beer spa, they enjoy Brussels-style wellness and climb into a beer barrel – fun, unusual, and a real insider tip.
For a little pick-me-up, the two attend a waffle-making class – here they bake, laugh, and taste. Little masterpieces are created that not only satisfy but also bring joy. Finally, there's some action: While climbing in an abandoned church, Björn and Tamina experience Brussels from a completely new perspective.
